The point about beauty being objective confuses me. I agree that the Bible says some things are beautiful and lovely while others are ugly and abhorrent. But I fail to see where the Bible says all things must fall in one of the two categories. Perhaps you could clarify what you mean when you say beauty is objective. Thanks! |

One possible way to look at it, Deborah, is imagine a 'spectrum' of beauty. God is absolute beauty, and all of creation is more or less beautiful in relation to him. Those things that reflect his image most clearly are the most beautiful. |
