Wow, this is absolutely wonderful to have these almost minute-by-minute updates! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this on behalf of all of us who can't be there to partake in the festival itself!
In reference to your post itself, I appreciate the first point you mention. I have found the same to be true in drama scripts I've helped write. A preoccupation with specific mention of God or Christian principles as opposed to a holistic Christian worldview can result in a sometimes cheesy sounding dialogue. I've seen the results of this in both the drama and movie-making venues of the Christian entertainment industry.
That's why I really appreciate the emphasis the SAICFF places on excellent quality productions. What a better impression to make on a watching world!

An objective standard of beauty - what a truly amazing topic to discuss! Beautiful things are the things that most clearly reflect the character of God. (But, as you pointed out, that doesn't always mean mentioning his name.) It sounds like you are having a great time and learning a lot.
If you meet Anthony or Jessica Rondina, tell them 'hi' for me. =)

Thank you both for your comments.
Karen, we actually met Anthony already. We'll tell him 'hi' tomorrow morning. =)
