The other side of the coin is that more than 50% of the attendees do not use Macs. ;-)
Ya'll are doing a great job covering this! I can't wait to read your next post!

Hannah... The point was not that there more Macs than other platforms, but rather that there were much, much more Macs than usual. Mac users comprise less than 5-10% of the total computer market. What this means is that filmmakers recognize the Macintosh's superiority for filmmaking.

Pixar uses Macs.

Pixar was founded by Lucasfilm, which uses HP. *grin* Not that it matters at all....

Founded that way, perhaps... But it wasn't making great hits back then.

Well, Macs certainly are better for Filmmakers, and people who make 3-D movies, etc. Designers love them. But I think that MS is probably better for the average person. Easier to use.

As a designer, I'd pick Mac. As an American, I'd choose MS. :-P

Haha... Even Microsoft employees themselves won't argue that MS is easier to use. The Mac interface is incredibly more simple and easy to use.

The reason the average person doesn't get a Mac is because it's more expensive and less compatible with the majority of computer users.
