This was one of my favorite lectures of the festival! One other thing that Mr. Sproul pointed out that I found very insightful was that he defined what exactly the standard of beauty was. I've never heard anyone attempt to do that, and he did it with simple clarity - almost in passing. He said that the standard of beauty is how well something reflects the true nature of God. That sheds some light on why the world would want to abolish a standard of beauty - abolish that, and we have no clear idea of who this Yahweh is. |
