Pastor Richard Bacon used the term before. I wondered where he got it...

But yes. Even the shorter catechism from the Westminster confession of faith, which I am very new to, but thankful for, states that the chief end of man is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.

I was a little surprised by the 'enjoy Him' part, but upon further study, it's completely true, as Piper points out.

Interesting thought, and interesting practice. It's fun though!

:-) love to hear others my age loving and using that term. it seems too often that RELIGION rules people, and there's too few who have FAITH instead of religion.

I just finished the video "The Burning Center"- (or something like that) by Piper. There was a section on Christinan Hedonism in that, too. :)
