Praise be to Him who gave to us the HARD way... the way to life!

Just as a side note, I have been finding it incredible to witness the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints evidencing itself in my life. So often, I find myself burdened with doubt and despair - questioning God's sovereignty and intentionally sinning - yet always, ALWAYS, the Lord draws me back to Himself.

I appreciate the way you have thrown a new light on this ancient and orthodox Biblical truth of perseverance! Thanks guys!

In a sense, your trademark mirrors what truly underlies the doctrine - that ultimately, the perseverance in not merely passive (i.e., God constantly drawing us back to Himself), but also, that it is active (i.e. we go out and "do hard things"!).

groans...so true. Thank you, LORD, for your kind and patient encouragement to do the right thing, even if it's hard. Ok, so maybe this is my rhema for the next few weeks? :)
