That was a great post. Thanks for sharing, Sarah! I feel the same way so many times. In piano, for example, sometimes I feel like my teacher isn't enough of a perfectionist (either that or I am to much of a perfectionist), and she thinks I am doing well but I don't think I'm doing half so well. I feel like I have to push myself to do better than she expects.

Really good entry Sarah.
I've really struggled with caring way too much about grades. God has been showing me, how I have been basing whether I'm being faithful to him in school through my grades, but Sarah you're definitely right, I can't be looking to grades, but rather I must be faithful to God—whatever I get high or low grades.
God bless

Great post. As a recent college graduate I look back with wonder at what (little) I actually learned. What stands out to me are the few classes where I earned my grade in sweat and tears. Most of my college experience was spent marveling at the assignments supposed to evoke 'critical thinking'.
I would offer only one critique your post; In my experience, I am able to do only one thing at a time with excellence. When I was in college if I gave 100% to my studies, work suffered and vice versa. I don't believe that students are as much lazy as they are unable to find a balance between school, work and all of life's demands. We can't do all things well all of the time.
