Thanks for posting this!

Thank you for sharing this, Alex, Brett, and Kimberly.
It reminds me of the verse "to whom much is given, much is required."
I used to think "I wouldn't know what to do, if a close family member died."
Well, it did happen, in God's providence, and I know now that, that was the only place to be--not having confidence in self, but humbled before our sovereign God. Not knowing what to do and realizing our brokenness, forces us to trust in God. Relying on and resting in God is the surest place to be whenever anything seems unsure. And this means to always rely on Him, because nothing earthly is ever secure.

One of the best blog posts ever. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thank you for sharing such a profound look at suffering.

I pray your rebolution continues. . .

Good advice to live by (as always).

What a great encouragement this post was to me today! The Lord has been shaping my life through suffering over the last several years, and I can testify that when we are truly submissive and continue to put our trust in His power and LOVE, His blessings of peace pour out in ways unimaginable. Thank you for this reminder and challenge.

Thank you for this wonderful post!

Thanks for sharing this, I really needed the encouragement today.
Thanks for the reminder to Do Hard Things :)

Kimi,

Your post is very encouraging. May we all rely even more on God's word and His Holy Spirit for our strength and guidance. I could write volumes on suffering and the mercy of God, but then I realize I have not even yet paid with my life to the point of death, like the martyrs in Foxe's Book of Martyrs.

It is more valuable to me to hear/read of Christians' personal victory through suffering by following God's Word, than to read some latest how-to book on suffering by someone who, perhaps, has not walked in my moccasins.

Thanks so much for this post. I needed to read every word. Especially today. I am going through a trial and suffering and reading your challenges was very encouraging to me. Thanks for taking the time.
