Gravatar Uh, and there's that whole 22nd amendment thing...

Gravatar Ken,

I think his point, and that of other Obama supporters, was that a McCain presidency would be too much like a third term of Bush.

I like the response from my fellow conservatives: Better a third term of Bush than a second of Carter.

Gravatar Maybe he thinks P. Bush is running for senate?

I am so amused by people who talk like a McCain presidency would be anotther four years of Bush. It's like, their minds are so simple they think in pictograms.

Gravatar Laura,

Indeed. I would be amused by it if, and AM amused by it when, I accept that someone truly thinks that way. But some of the people who are making that claim are the very same ones who have for the past eight years held McCain up as an example of what Bush should have been. It's disingenuous at best. The left will extend and withdraw their approval, or at least grudging respect, for someone NOT based on any change in that person's beliefs, or policies, or positions, but based solely on whether or not the person is a useful foil or an impediment to their ends at the given moment.

Gravatar Maybe Dodd intends to assassinate McCain two years into his second term?

Gravatar The Democrats want to frame the election as if they were running against George Bush. It's obvious enough that McCain is not a Bush clone and should be judged on his own merits. But in a political contest, why should the facts get in the way of a good slogan?

Gravatar Sick's s'heaven? Ate nigh'n? ish'all the shame te'nee.

Gravatar Patrick,

Heh. I think that compared to the VC, Dodd poses little threat to McCain.

TalkinHorse,

Why Indeed?

B.H.,

You're smarter than that, and you know how aware of that I am.

Gravatar Funny. Just had this conversation with my mom today.

Gravatar D.G.

Do tell.

Gravatar It must be the new math.
Obama has stated that he had visited 57 states in this campaign.
