Gravatar If Jesu...er...Obama is smart he will not allow Hilliary to be Veep. Remember what happens to those who get in her way of what she wants.

Vince, anyone?

Gravatar Brian, you racist, how dare you criticize His Most Imperious Holy Highness, the Obamessiah!

Gravatar Vic,

I was in a lose-lose situation: Criticize the Obamanation, and I'm a racist; criticize the Hildebeest and I'm a sexist. So I flipped a coin.

Gravatar And it landed on edge?

But yeah, I have noticed that the Democrat solutions for the economy seem to run the gammot of economic theory all the way from A to A-flat. The thing that troubles me is all the people I hear saying that they usually vote Republican, but are going to vote Democrat this time, because of the mess the economy is in.

Gravatar It almost doesn't matter the letter behind the name this go round. I keep thinking that Harry S Truman (nobody's idea of a total died-in-the-wool conservative) would be to the right of all three of these stooges.

Gravatar Since you guys seem to have some sort of mastery over the space/time continuum here and it's now November on this blog, could you shoot me an email on who won the World Series? Game-by-game scores through the playoffs would be most appreciated. And um...let's just keep this to ourselves.

Gravatar Michelle Obama is talking about closing tax breaks, right? Like hedge fund managers who ostensibly have 15% income taxes? Sounds about right to me - how else are we going to afford programs when so much of our resources are funding the war efforts?

Gravatar What programs are you talking about exactly?

I can't think of many government run programs that aren't complete failures, and I really don't see any future programs being different.

Gravatar sorry to o/t comment, but I have a great recipie I'd like to share. try this, and if you like it, feel free to make a blog post about it (take some pictures if you do)

Start with an orange flesh honeydew melon. If you can't find this variety, then any of the cantaloupe/musk variety will suffice. but the orange flesh honeydew is my favorite.

Slice into 4 equal quarters and remove the seeds.

Sprinkle lightly with table salt and let sit for about 5 minutes to soak in and distribute.

Sprinkle heavily with pumpkin pie spice (store bought is fine, or use your own custom spice blend of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and clove).

Get your grill prepped - preheat to a high heat and make sure it is very clean and well oiled with a light, neutral flavor oil.

Place melon slices flesh side (flat) down on hot grill and cook with lid down about 3-4 minutes. Flip to other flat flesh side for about 3-4 more. Be careful when flipping because it is easy to tear the flesh of the melon. Pretend it is a delicate fish.

Flip to rind-side down for final 3-4 minutes of cooking, then remove to a platter.

Drizzle with honey.

Serve each hot quarter with a hefty dollop of ice cream and enjoy!

Gravatar Sorry Gully, but somebody is going to have to give up some of their melon in order to share that recipe with everyone.
