Bush has made another big push and friends I hate to say it this thing is going to pass. It is carved up now so that everybody (politicians) are getting a piece of the pie and it will pass both house and senate. Our only hope is a hurricane takes our Washington, DC.
Hmm, Paul, so a doubley bad bill sounds good to you? I hop you enjoy paying the 2 trillion in social security benefits they will receive and the net loss on average per family of 20,000.00 per year. Yup this is going to be wonderful!
I do like the idea of increasing deportations by 20% along with a secure border, and many other illegals would leave voluntarily when that began to happen.
As for SB1348 being the first step towards communism/socialism, that step was taken many, many years ago with the implementation of social security. But having said that, SB1348 is still a bad deal for America. We MUST continue to resist the passage of this legislation. Let your senators know, in no uncertain terms, that their vote in favor of this is a guarantee that they will NOT receive your vote in the future.
Personally, I feel that we should deport all 12 million illegals and for everyone we deport, allow one that has been waiting (legally) for years to come in.
However, this solution is probably not workable in our divided nation ... so a plan that both sides hate is sounding kind of good to me.
As far as the $5000.00 fines go, these illegals are able to come up with thousands of dollars per person to have coyotes smuggle them in, This is a maximum $5000.00 per family and a bargain in comparrison.
