Not that I don't appreciate your political views, but I have to say, I like your personal stories best. They let your sense of humor shine. And you know how women love a man with a big sense of humor.
Plus we enjoy knowing we aren't the only ones with screwed up families and personal lives.

I say we just scrap the whole thing and start over. I realize that's exactly what's happening, but I would like it to be out in the open, for everyoned to realize and have a voice in. That or defect.
Don't know why that comment came up anonymous. It was mine and I would never be anonymous on purpose.
At least Nixon was a likeable fuk up, as was Clinton. They both had their quirky, likeable sides.
If I had my druthers I would bring back the "save the planet and peace for all" guy... Carter.
Sadly, what has been done can't be undone. We just have to hope in the next election that we at least get candidates worth voting for. Thank God, Bush will be out of the running. If his brother runs, I am leaving the country.
Considering my husband is overseas fighting this publicity stunt that 'W' calls a war, I agree whiole heartedly. I am WAY too young to know much about Dick *snickers* but I do know that Jr. here pisses me off as a figure head. At least he could practice his speeches before hand so that he doesn't stumble over those difficult words like 'if', and 'today', and 'now'. Good commentary.
Kaci, I'm sorry to hear that your husband is stuck fighting in this mess. I absolutely wish him a safe return very soon. There are so many misguided people in this country who think that "supporting the troops" means supporting this ill-conceived joke of a war in which those troops are being put in danger for no good purpose. I don't want to see one more human being -- American or Iraqi -- dead or suffering from the horror of this debacle, which is based solely on the age-old quest for power and domination, NOT on the simplistic crap put out there by the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/etc Propaganda Machine. i only hope that this nightmare finally brings enough of The Truth to the surface that even Conservatives wake up (as they did with Vietnam) and realize that we are on a no-win path to self-destruction. Thank you for your comment, and I wish you strength and peace of mind during what must surely be a difficult and frightening (and seemingly eternal) ordeal for you.
