Gravatar Well, I'm still gonna see it. I'm afraid this George will get my money. I started with episode IV when I was a kid, saw episode VI with you, and will finish the series. Though I agree that the original was the best.

Gravatar I still refer to Star Wars as One since I saw it back in 1978 as a young'un.
I am a self confessed Star Wars fan. Yes, I & II sucked. But then again, so did Empire Strikes Back.
I'll hand over my hard earned money to see III. Which is why I didn't read your entire post. I didn't want to make up my mind before going. I'm still a geek kid at heart.

Gravatar Hey i never said anybody should avoid the film. Make up your OWN mind; I'm just here to call shit as i see it. Of course, just like I tell women to stop breeding with assholes and then the assholes will die out, I think if everyone stopped encouraging George Lucas by making him richer, he'd stop annoying us with his cinematic love-letters to his own inner child and perhaps do something more constructive with his time. But then again, what the fuck do I know?

Gravatar I haven't seen all of Phantom Menace (what I saw was while I was having dental work, because apparently I'm a masochist) but I did pay money for Attack of the Clones. So bad. So very, very bad.

Unfortunately it looks like I'll still see the new one, but only because Christopher Lee survived AofC and, as I've been a fan of his since I was 5, he has an unnatural hold over me. Must be those Dracula eyes.

With luck I won't have to pay...

Gravatar Thanks for the advanced review of the movie...It's one of the movies on my list to go see.

Gravatar Kristi is a Star Wars Fanatic.. I know for such a smart kid.. I am gonna show her this though...

Gravatar I was at the preview with Brian... take him along in case it gets to be too much. That's my advice. He has his own little movie going on in case things get boring or in case Hayden Christiansen's mouth is moving.

I watched the first one again... after watching this. It was horrible. Very slow paced, a bit hokey in this day and age and I wondered what the whole craze was all about. I remember in '78 when this all started - it really makes it interesting therefore to imagine what will seem passe' and silly in 25 years. We line up for pretty much anything Hollywood can dish out and we do it over and over and over again.

We always will... even when it's 50 bucks and 3 people in the audience win a trip to the moon as a door prize.

Gravatar ok where is the bri? Hope all is ok with you

Gravatar I saw Star Wars at a drive-in theatre, with my cousins and dad and uncle. The drive in had two screens - one on each end of the lot, playing the movie on each simultaneously. (I don't know if this is how it is always done or not, I think I have seen a total of 2 movies at a drive-in theatre). I was n b
