actually i WROTE it friday, but the damn thing wouldn't post, probably because it was friday the 13th. i was having, as i mentioned, internet connection problems. then i was gone all weekend, so i didn't get to try posting it again 'til i got back and got done with catching up on work, which was late monday night into tuesday morning.

anyway, since i wrote it on friday, it was a friday posting, so i backdated it.

Perhaps I have a twisted outlook, but a restaurant on Friday the 13th? I don't *think* so! Brings to mind cat tacos, thumb-tip French onion soup, flaming kitchens, scratcher steaks... I was married to a chef. Need I go on?

I'm with Jian here. While eating out on Friday the 13th may be somewhat less hazardous to your health than preparing your own food, there is still a multitude of bad stuff that could happen. Maybe you should just opt to stay inside, fast for the day and move the date to Saturday the 14th.

Chinese stir-fry, huh? May have draft you into cooking that for me the next time I see you...

Hmm... Seems to me that aside from some annoying computer problems and culinary complications, essentially everything got sorted in the end, AND you had a nice dinner date ( "dessert" included). I think that might even qualify as a GOOD day, atl least in some respects, knock on wood....
