I'm not one to ply melodrama and immediately plunge the argument into shades of a "1984" scenario, but, seriously, blind faith, be it toward government or religion, is not only against the intent of the originators of Democracy and Christianity, point of fact, but is stupefyingly stupid.


Gravatar In your argument, did you mention that "securing warrants for domestic wiretapping allows critical communications between potential terrorists to go unheard"
isn't actually true, due to the retroactive nature of FISA warrant approval? There are concessions built right into the process that allow immediate wire-tapping. Essentially, arguing for warrant-less wire-tapping is arguing for direct removal of oversight. It's a needless vote of submission.
I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want this.
