Gravatar Wow - it's gorgeous! Your hands must be a blur. I haven't picked up a knitting needle since Saturday. Still in brief helllllll.......... (I guess I'm one of the lawyers in the Mr Bean skit on Hell).
congratulations
Joan

Gravatar Now I too have that *)%*$ song stuck in my head.

I love Ms. Nina, she is a beauty.

I was thinking of calling your LYS and warning them that it is payday, but I am sure that they have their calendars marked and are ready for you this afternoon.

Gravatar Joan - thanks for that. But there are many out there who are faster - Wannietta, for example

Amy: sorry for the song. But it's out of my brain now, so I guess I passed it successfully over to you.

And re. PayDay: since it is the 15th of the month (which is the payday I'm allowing myself to buy yarn on - how convenient) you might be right to warn the LYS. Except that I'm actually not likely to go until tomorrow. There is a 3rd LYS halfway between work and home and I'm meeting a friend for dinner in the area after work tomorrow - so may have to hold off until then. Think I have already managed to exhaust Handmaiden supplies at home LYS and work LYS!

But - you might want to drop Haley at Knitomatic a line just in case I stop on the way home from work today. LOL.

Gravatar I totally agree. Fastest knitter in the world. I've never seen anything like it.

And it's not as if you don't spend time here either. Or at work, or at the Jesus karioke.....just sayin'

Gravatar Haven't been to the Jesus Karaoke yet, Sequana. I guess something has to give!

And - work... well... LOL.

Gravatar Agggghhhh... thanks for the song. Now wedged in my brain. All I can say to that is that it has replaced the previous Abba song going through my head on constant repeat..."There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando" Ok really, not the whole song... just the chorus.

Love the shawl though! The colours as always are great! And Super 10 - I love that stuff too! Ram Wools lowered their price of it quite a bit too! Lucky me!

Gravatar Lucky you indeed, Sarah. And thanks for sharing Fernando with me ... arghghghgh!!!!

Gravatar Her name was Lola, she was a dancer...

All hail tight white pant wearers...

Gravatar The knitting rocks too!

Gravatar At the Copa.... Copa cabana....
oh shit...

Gravatar ...The hottest spot north of Havana...

Gravatar ...At the Copa ... Copa Cabana
music and passion were always the fashion...

and at the Copa... they fell in love.

Holly... I have your address and if it weren't snowing I would come down there and forcefeed you with ABBA tunes to get rid of Barry Manilow. Now you've got JJ singing too... I'm worried he's going to haul out his white suit from the closet!!!!!! and refuse to let me take photos!!!!

Gravatar You know - I realized for the final time that my "gaydar" was truly bad when my boss finally informed me that good old Barry M was gay ! DUH!!!!
The fat old lady is always the last to know

Gravatar Joan, that is hilarious! If it's any consolation, my gaydar for women (dykedar?) is very, very poor...

Gravatar Oh crap! That was good! That darn Barry gets caught in my head for MONTHS!!

I love me some ABBA though! Donna Summer sing along anyone? Heeheehee

JJ has a white suit? Does he have a disco scarf? Where those the rage in Canada? My Mom knit one for all her sisters in the 70's. I wish I had photos of THAT!

Gravatar Yeah, Holly - thanks a LOT. I've actually had to put on my Magic of Marilyn (Monroe) CD at the office to try to exorcise Barry. But the receptionists got a great laugh when I walked in munching on a bagel and singing "at the copa..."

JJ did have a white suit - I suspect it's long gone. He will probably kill me if I haul out old pics and put them up here... he was about my age at the time in question. My mother had a disco scarf, I do remember!

ABBA rules.

Gravatar All hail Abba.

And damn you all for putting Barry in my head.

Bring back Fernando...

Gravatar Dang - I'm hearing Fernando in my head now,too- and with the four-part harmony! Not bad....

Gravatar There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright
Fernando...

now I've got the whole office alternately humming "Fernando" and cursing me!

heh heh.

Thanks, Sarah and Joan!!!

Gravatar I think your Nina looks lovely. The colors really POP!

Gravatar Thanks, Paige - you have a cool blog yourself and I love the name Paper Starfish!
