You'd make a great PR person for a yarn company! Preferably Handmaiden, because the employee discount alone should more than make up for the lower pay. It sounds like a great idea.
Sometimes I wonder: Do we knit because we're obsessive-compulsive hoarders of things? Or is it the other way around?
I got part of the answer when I was doing an archives internship: anything they were going to weed out, I snagged up and brought home. So... I guess we were OCD types first. But oh, how happy beads and yarn can make a person! That's not a bad thing, right?
I am definetely an OCD type and suspect I was one first, Batty. Although one of the only things I hoard is yarn. I tend not to hoard paper (particularly not when it comes in envelopes with dollar signs and a minus sign in front. Heh.
And yes, I think I'll ask HM if I can do some PR work for them... 
Weather report: Looks like rain here Mon and Tues....so that should get rid of all the snow.

Very strange weather indeed, Sequana...don't know what to expect from day to day. Have to venture out soon for such essentials as smokes, lottery tixs and diet coke. SIGH.
That's OK, I don't need your ol' sock yarn anyway because *somebody* sent me some fabulous Fleece Artist Goldilocks.

Yes - In the Loop is where Alterknit used to be. Pretty much the same thing with a couple of different owners. You were out, you should have swung by! But it looks likes your day wasn't wasted.
Hey W: do you go there often? I'm out and about every other Saturday and Sunday pretty much travelling further afield... the furthest I got out yesterday was a 3 minute walk to the gas station down the street from me. SIGH. In the Loop is about 1/2 hour walk for me and I try to get up to that neighbourhood on foot every other weekend for the greengrocers, etc - there are also a couple of greek food shops. So - let me know if you're hitting there and I'll definetely swing by!

Very infrequently - more often if I can weasel my way into being a Honda run regular instead of just a spare. Not that I'm wishing for one of the other drivers to quit or die, but someone has to be ready to keep the ship afloat.
I should be down again once if not twice in March - I'll definitely let you know!
