It's a beautiful cloudy knit work of art!
Another fine Canadian design!

Thank you thank you thank you!
K (the coworker) just came to ask me if it was actually for her (had left it draped over her chair). She liked it!

Pretty shawl! You're amazingly fast, just cranking them out... how you manage is beyond me. You crank out 3-4 gorgeous FO's in the time it takes me to knit a pathetic pair of plain stockinette socks.

Cumulus is the perfect name for that piece.
I bet if you opened an Etsy store, you'd soon have quite a following.

Batty: I couldn't knit a pair of ankle socks in the time it takes to knit this stuff... so don't sell yourself short
Thanks, S... an actually thinking of getting a page on icraft.ca but am a bit lazy re. setting up shop.

Cumulus describes it perfectly. The little sparkles look like ice crystals.
I don't know how you knit so fast. I think you're running a knitting sweatshop up there and JJ is not really your DH, but is really stuck there in some type of indentured servitude.
I'm right, aren't I?

Amy: busted. Please don't call the cops. He enjoys himself. Really, he does. And I do feed him once in a while...

Is it STILL snowing there? Stike me pink does it ever stop! Shawl is beautiful, as always.

Susie: it doesn't stop snowing here, at least this year. Thanks for the shawl. The recipient appreciated it so much that she passed it around the bar drinkers this evening but stood protectively saying "don't spill any beer on it" . LOL

Kristina - I just read your post "Innocent Victims of Craftdaftness" and I beg you, don't give up on the sock! Forget the wooden needles - buy the cheap metal dpns from knitpicks! You can't break 'em. Trust me!

Thanks, Tracy, for the cheerleading. I may give it a try again, but it will be a while.

Hmm...
I have one waiting in the wings for Oceanwind's Suri silk, called "Cirrus."
Could be a trend...
