Taking comfort in state-sanctioned murder. Yep, that's ordinary everyday Christianity. Jesus would be proud.

And not a mention of Tookie's victims: Albert Lewis Owens, 26; Tsai-Shai Yang, 63; Yen-I Yang, 76; and Yee-Chen Lin, 43. Execution isn't state-sponsored murder; it's sadly necessary justice.

Watching Fox News, live in front of San Quentin. Note to the bald white guy who keeps interrupting the newscast: Fox may or may not "lie", but Tookie does not live, friend. Now go home and get a job.

i will repeat a previous comment of mine:
people who are 'christ-like' (i.e. christians) should never support the murder of another human being...no matter what they did.
i understand that four people were murdered but if this tookie fellow has made things right with God then he has a chance for salvation...just like you. please do not be the judge...because that is God's job...not yours.
honestly, it is sad that so many "ordinary everyday christians" forget about christ teachings.

Tookie's supporters should be gratified to know that in only seven yeras he'll qualify for a free booster shot.

I am particularly uncomfortable about the tone and content of the Governor's statement in denying clemency. In using the words "atonement" and "redemption", and in declaring that there could be no redemption or atonement for this particular individual, he has placed himself in a position reserved for our Savior as the one Redeemer for all mankind, and in the place of God as our Judge.
I am not opposed to capital punishment in general, and have not reviewed this case on its merits. But my opinion of the Governor has taken quite a hit.

I agree with Daryl. Calling yourself Christian and salivating for Tookie's death illuminates a disturbing psychological problem that unfortunately clouds any chance of reason and humanity. For the people who promote death on christian websites, when you breath your last breaths, I hope you remember your inhumane yearnings for Tookie's death and I hope this makes your last moments unpleasant.

So tookie is dead. But his fruit lives on in the lives of the Krips. Long live Tookie II, whoever that is, right?
I don't know how I would react if Tookie had been my friend, or my child. I know what I would have wanted to do if he had murdered my family member.
And has anyone forgotten Carla Faye Tucker? She had a dramatic conversion, and was even on the James Dobson show, but she was executed too. What's good for the goose . . .
