I admire Kate's courage in the face of pressure from the doctors' pressure to abort, however I suspect that IVF may have been responsible for such a number of babies at once, as it rarely happens in nature. IVF practioners implant too many embryos in order to boost their success rates, then rely on 'selective reduction' to fix the problem they create.
We cause so much difficulty for ourselves when we take reproduction into our own hands! The Church has so much wisdom on this issue, but who is listening?

I agree with Leticia, IVF creates an unnatural scenario. 8 children are a blessing, but with 6 of them coming all at once the natural design of God is distorted. Parents of large families rely on the older children pitching in with chores and helping out with the little ones. 6 babies at once creates a very stressful, very overwhelming scenario. God bless this family for not selectively reducing, but IVF will continue to present this problem to future parents.

They've said repeatedly that they didn't do IVF.
