What do you think of that Chris Leo book? Juuuust curious
jeff
Actually haven't read much of it yet, Jeff... started to but got way too many books as gifts. Hope to get back to it sometime soon.
The disc it comes with is pretty good, though. Couple great songs on there.
Kevin Rose is my new tv boyfriend - ever since I saw his and Sarah's pictures from their vacation and he was wearing a Yoshimi shirt ![]()
Yeah, he's a HUGE flaming lips fan... saw a segment where he got to interview the band on TSS, and he was doing his best to resist the total fawning fanboy urge.
My first thought was 'what the hell does this have to do with technology?'... but my second thought was 'cool! flaming lips!'. ![]()
Go ahead, taunt us with your Cali weather... when I woke up this morning it was freakin' 65 here.
Windows down on the drive to work!
The Bedroom Dancing link is broken.
It should be:

bedroomdancing.typepad.co..._cab_for_c.html
Not:

bedroomdancing.typepad.co...ab_for_c_1.html
Glad to hear you're feeling better. This wonky weather is killing me, too. When is winter going to get here?
Thanks, Michael... fixed the link. They had like quadruple postings of that yesterday, and I picked one of the now-deleted ones to link, of course ![]()
Ain't this weather strange? The wind last night, and a neighbor's banging screen door, kept us up... and it felt just like spring this morning.
Four hours later and it's dropped more than 20 degrees... and still plummeting. Yeesh.
I was sweating this morning when I was packing the kids into the car. Now it's *freezing* out. We're gonna end up with 2 feet of snow in February to make up for this weird January,
Hi Brad... about 'Not One Damn Dime Day'. I prefer to REFUSE to be cynical about "Not One Damn Dime Day". Though I tend to throw out spam immediately, I'll admit I passed this one on. Chalk it up to my overly enthusiastic ideals. I tend to agree with Margaret Mead on this one....
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
I have had some difficult communication with a close relation of mine who is remarkably and loudly anti-Bush, yet also involved in the restaurant/service scene. It was very upsetting to me that this person could be so hypocritical (and, quite frankly, somewhat insulting!)... protest and ranting and raving are ok until it effects one's own pocketbook? I'm sorry, but it's just that kind of selfishness that breed cynicism in the first place!!!!
I do agree with your friend (Micki); though honestly, what's wrong with writing letters to your representatives AND boycotting spending on Jan. 20? Something as painless as this is worth a try, at least. Painless for me, anyway. Maybe it will pain others enough to jump on bandwagon. In any event, I don't see the point in lamenting how ineffective it will be. Somebody just wanted to DO something. Good for them.

Here's what www.czabe.com had to say about the not a dime day, and I think he's got a point. "REACT: Boy, this is a really good idea. Let’s hurt the average working man, to further POUT about not winning an election. You think the BIG CORPORATIONS will be hurt by this? Please. So they have one bad day. Write off, Jerry. The small store clerk, the dry cleaner, the street vendor – mostly Democrats, I bet – essentially get docked a FULL DAYS PAY! Wonderful way to “send a message.” Secondly, do you REALLY think that John Kerry would have held a $5 a head, paper plate, pizza party from Domino’s?"
