Trying to get Republicans to enlist is a waste of time and money anyway.

I'm wondering what the big deal is anyway. I served Honorably for 15 years. I'm a 4th generation Marine.
Hell, I'm Independent/Democrat. MY biggest problem is with people trying to shuck and dodge from the responsibility for giving something back to this nation. It's one thing to back the war, or discredit it - having served. It's a completely different issue to back the war, and not ever having served this country.
After all, everything everyone has ever gotten came from WE VETERANS. If it wasn't for us, y'all wouldn't have jack squat to get would you?
Funny, that.

(Oh boy. Y'all must be from the Interdictor site...)
...and if it weren't for citizens who actively engage in freedom by doing silly things like keeping the economy alive through commerce, "you veterans" wouldn't have anything to defend.
I've never served, yet I support the war AND the controversial means of extracting information to keep us safe. I pay you, a veteran, respect because I believe you've earned it; not because I owe it to you. Likewise, you don't owe me anything.

Hey, two lefty Marines in one place.
I didn't do near 15 years, I'm afraid.
Never saw any battles or combat, either.
It does seem shocking that fully 40% of Americans are such big Bush supporters but the military is having a real hard time finding 1% of Americans to actually serve.

No, Natalie - it's MainandCentral.org - as noted in my homepage. We're all Vets, and pretty pissed off about this B.S. direction our country is in.
The difference being - I do NOT support giving up freedom and liberty as means of protection. Ursurping them only creates missing freedom and liberty, and those will NEVER be regained.
Believe me, you're not going to take shit from me, then tell me I'm safer as a result of it. That's a fact.
If y'all want to be scared of a boogyman that was created by BushCo (and previous republican administrations, thusly) - have at it.
I refuse. Not this Marine. Didn't buy it then, and don't buy it now.

Virginia Homeschoolers have a good point. At least that's my opinion.
