Even better, er, more hair-raising, is "The Language Police" by Diane Ravitch. What grade are your kids, Alasandra? I'm no fan of textbooks in general myself -- I blogged about it a few months ago -- but there are a few decent, older ones out there, not to mention a host of non-textbook alternatives...
