Gravatar Wow. Go Katie! And go, you! What an awesome moment that must have been....

Gravatar It sounds like a rare and powerful moment, wish I had been there. My own three kids are all being raised within the rather chaotic constraints of public institutions, and frankly I am often worried about how it affects them, for good or bad. Luckily we live in a small town, so at least they won't get crushed by sheer numbers, but it is with mixed feelings I relent the raising of my precious pods to strangers.

Gravatar Way to go, Katie!
Great blog, Natalie! Keep moving forward and looking up, and remember the heart is ALWAYS changing.
Homeschooling is the way to solve so many ills...

Gravatar Thanks, y'all. It was a great experience. And, Mort, I know how you feel. Sometimes, all we can do is hope the kids are listening well.

Gravatar I am so happy for both of you. Katie is a charming young lady I am glad they had a chance to see that.

Gravatar This is a great news.

Congratulations!

Gravatar I haven't been here for a while. Thanks for sharing a lovely story. Kid respond to situations that are not good for them in the ways that work best for them. And in those ways, I think they let us know that something needs attention.

Gravatar What a heart-warming story. Thank you so much for sharing it.
I liked that you had a list of reminders for your mother too! Mine is like that.

Gravatar Wow! I'd never heard this story! What a great moment! I'm so proud of my Katie-bug! She really has come a long way all because of you!
