I can't believe that Mississippi doesn't have a religious exemption from vaccination- it seems to me that the 1st Amendment ought to apply and the 14th Amendment has nothing to do with the issue.
Did you catch the throwaway line in the article about vaccination rates being higher than ever in this country? If that's the case, then why all the concern over a handful of non-vaccinated homeschoolers?
I saw this article the other day, and thought it to be just one more stupid homeschoolers-as-weirdos article amongst dozens of such pseudo-journalistic offerings. I've seen more substance when the cat threw up on the back porch.
Quite true (and eeew. haha), Sunniemom: Very little substance and nothing to distinguish it from similar articles written by other journalists.
This article just appeared yesterday, but there have been so many like it in the media that only the names have been changed.
Yes, indeed, Crimson Mom. Did you see where the CDC reported that none of the measles cases in recent outbreaks were tied to unvac'd kids in MS? There were so many things to comment on in this article.
