LET THE NEW IGNORANCE INVERT YOU
Anyone in doubt as to the recent promotion of ignorance to the state of virtue or ' c o o l ' , even, should check out some Youtube blogs. It's possible that ignorance, a deliberate self imposed blinkering where we compare our respective equine eyewear in terms of style, taste and expense as per any other item of fashionware, serves toward enhanced survival/reproduction prospects at a time of (Alvin Toffler) fragmented 'blip culture' sensory overload; the alternative being to live in a state of agonised frustration at all the sensory sweeties we cannot possibly make time to eat this one tiny alloted lifespan but which have nevertheless been availed of our drooling gaze. The maths being that no state of depressed frustration is necessarily going to attract a mate except possibly one equally miserable and potentially averse to reproduction. A blithe wallowing in ignorance is then called for along with whatever degree of ironic distancing can be mustered at the individual level.
