okay, duh: so I discovered that if you click on the HOMEPAGE thingy at the bottom of the comment, it transports you to www.myspace.com/peterrahill, where you can take a listen to those unfinished song tracks. thanks to a buddy here in Redondo Beach, he got me Bill Champlin (CHICAGO) to play some B3, Gregg & Matt Bissonette on drums and bass for a 2003 session...was I stoked? duh! just 2 of the tunes, though. Wish I could do a few albums with some of those great 'Nado-native talents; in agreement with Pat Coleman's assessment. Danny Orlino! That dude ripped it up...vocals and guitar. It was good to hear Joey, with Lane Carter making it sweet on harmonica. It would be fun to have a big ol' gnarly jam session...eh?

Hello Christie Davis...The Shindig band from Hi-Jinx 1965 was myself on drums, the late Rick Thomas and Rick King on guitars, Mike Knox, Jay Tinker, Bill Matthews, and the late Billy Nelson on bass guitar. I can vividly remember you, Kathie Felter, Nancy Burum, Judy Pond, Kathy Roberts, Roberta Fisher, Jorie Woods, Joyce Plunkett, Anne Moulton, et al in your ski pants and sweaters, doing the "Jerk" while I sang "Oop Poo Da Doo", and Knox sang "House of the Rising Sun". That was serious FUN. Hope you are doing well.

Dean, the July 3rd bash this year was off the chart. I had not seen Danny Orlino or Drew Gallahar for 44 years, and I had only seen Cliff Lenz once in that same time. To be able to get up on stage and make music with them, in our Centaur Reunion was more than memorable. Again, I thank you for your efforts with this site, and encourage you to put together anything you can to reunite these outrageously talented musicians.

oh...maybe the URL doesn't show up automatically: it's www.myspace.com/peterrahill. I had asked a few folks about your whereabouts, Eric: I remember you playing in the school patio, amoung other places. And what of some of the later groups that included Reed Engle (sp?): (played guitar with his back to the crowd); Jackie Hwa played drums; Bruce Donnelly...I heard later is a fantastic keyboardist; Bruce Sharp, drums; Gerry Bowen, guitar; Tom Lasbury "Mick"...Steve Guenther, guitar...lots of CHS guys...Kurt Kujawa, guitat...but no group names?

Greetings, CHS alum...just learned of this site. The "cameo-appearance" format for this year's party allowed for me to fulfill a "wannabe" aspiration of playing music with some of me 'mates. I was a Westcoast Iron Works groupie of sorts, and was in attendance at many of their battle-of-the-bands appearances, including the one they won. I thought they'd won two, in fact. Our family moved to Germany in June '69...the bridge was under constructin...and I never got to get into any Coronado bands. I hope Arty Battson will be successful in getting a website up where he can post a video link from the 2009 party. It was a gas, gas, gas! I've posted a few unfinished demos of original material for a few album projects I've been working on with the help of some pro musicians...take a listen if you get a chance. Cheers!

Garage bands what memories. Usually at the end of the third or fourth song there would be a stern knock on the door. As you opened it you saw the spit shined black shoes, the khaki pants, the baton and gun and finally all of Coronado's finest, mirrored sunglasses and all fists on hips. "Sounds real good boys but..." They all had exactly the same lines. Never forget the time they dropped in at my house and my mother came running out and got in the cops face, "At least they're not up on Orange Ave smokin' dope with the other kids!" Memories...

How come you picked Crabill over me, huh? Sorry June!! You guys were so wonderful and such good friends. Thanks for making our times so very special. During the rough times in the 60's you were always there to make us understand what life is really all about...fun, laughter and friendship. Oh, wow, I just thought of one: The Oscar Arias Quintet. All I know about them I learned from the picture that hung outside the Mexican Village for years. They were posed around Dr. Dill's Excallibur. (The fiberglass kit-car Stutz, I think, with the headers coming out the hood.) I think I remember a sax.

Dean,
We've got some cool old Etcetera pix online but the emails to you are bouncing. Check photo folder on George's FTP site http://fatman.com/ftpguest/etc and go to last three listed.
This is all very cool but where are the new guys in town? Have there been no bands formed since 1974?

Thanks Tina, your Dad was a wonderful person who had a big impact on everyone who met him. I knew him when I was in Jr. High and was around during the Centaurs time. Thanks again for your comments. Dean Atkinson
