is there only one? i thought both keitel and tarantino survive both...

isn't it omplied both roth and kietel die?

Tarantino dies in Resevoir Dogs.

Steve Buscemi?

Steve Buscemi

Buscemi is correctamundo.

Keitel dies in R. Dogs as does Tarantino.

you are really going to munich? i thought you were joking or something. when?

they have a may beerfest that is as big as oktoberfest, if slightly less famous.

also -- they have an awesome park called the english garden.

of course, the hofbrauhaus is a must.

why the hell are you going to munich? i think you will like it.

philip roth's new book is getting some good buzz and it's a relatively compact read, i hear.

i should proudly add that i got ripped outta my mind on that maibock bier a coule timez. i remember dancing on tables with some italian doods.

you probably shouldn't get ripped out of your mind but hey, you're going to be there so i can't stop you from getting ripped out of your mind.

I was in the Munich train station once after a soccer match. Drunk hooligans were passed out everywhere.

I ate schnitzel.

Fulfilling all your requirements, Hans, I recommend BAD HAIRCUT: Stories of the Seventies, by Tom Perrotta, author of the also-excellent ELECTION.

I read Bad Haircut and deeply enjoyed it. Looking for something right in that mold.

steve howe died in a car crash

finish motherless bklyn - it's good, not great, but the last, like, fifth of the book is as good as it gets, IIRC...

haven't read enough lately to offer a current book, but "the daytrippers" is a great movie based in suburbia - rent it and rip it for your ipod using this:

-
or download this:

then search here:

for ipod format video...

give motherless a chance...it is a decent read..as i recall, tho it did not knock my socks off...

for whatever reason i have not found myself very enthusiastic about fiction in quite a while...i have read some decent non-fiction of late...i enjoyed 85-90% of what lopate had to say about our fine city --> http://www.amazon.com/gp/product...ng=UTF8& s=books

deion-why do you always post 2x's?

I recommend The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and Cloud Atlas. Also agree that Motherless Brooklyn is worth the read. At times it is very funny.

Thanks for all the suggestions, people. Ten unannounced GP's each for isired, pbdotc, deion, dan k. and bc mi for taking the time...

It's your lucky day! Crossing California IS in paperback!

Also, who's the angry baseball guy in the audio clip on your blogger profile page? I should probably know, but I'm not really into, you know, baseball. I'm one of the fucking eighty-five percent making a fucking living.

fuckin-a

I'm going to bed.

Mario Batali seems like a good guy. You'd think he could do better in the way of drinkin buddies.

I read 'Crossing California' and can recommend it. It's a fun, easy read.

'The Plot Against America' is the best 'modern' book I've read in ages. It's outfreakingstanding.

Or there's always Mark Leyner.

napster says today it's letting people sample its product for free.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

yeah, i did that.

more Verbungle, please.

i disagree ..i think it's blatantly implied the Buscemi dies as well. he exits the garage guns blazing as cop cars arrive with shots ringing out in the BG. his implied death would fit the intention that NOBODY survived the heist.

d. lee:

According to Quentin Tarantino, Mr. Pink survives, but is arrested by the police — in the background, policemen can be heard ordering Pink to put his hands on the ground, then Pink says "I give up" after a brief firefight in which he is wounded but not killed.

Hey everyone, check out softball player Matt's new flick "loudQUIETloud" at the Tribeca Film Festival. Strongly recommended.

Hans, this fits none of your criteria, but you might really like "Bel Canto" by Ann Patchett.

Would it be inappropriate to note that you guys post very hot?
