some answers:

1) Going away party -- I don't think so, most of my friends are gone by now.

2) Amstel Light -- shit, I forgot why I was boycotting this. I actually kind of like it. I think you are on the right track, it was a really stoopid commercial that turned me off. But I don't think it was the Dennis Miller one. I don't remember that one. Either way, enough time has passed that you can continue drinking Amstel with a clear conscience. I think they've corrected themselves.

3) Michelob is the right beer, Mike is the wrong name and we're also still looking for the correct snack food. Snack food might not be the most perfect way to describe this food, but I say it's close enough.
