on the draft:
RONALDO BALKMAN!!??? Hmmm. I think Isaiah thought Rolando Blackman was on the board and fucked up. Either that or he's doing what Dolan claimed L Brown was doing and is actuallt TRYING to get fired. I mean, this guy is wrong on so many levels I don't know where to begin.
A) he sucks
B) even if he's good we could have had him ANYWHERE in the second round. (*There ain't exactly a "going outta business"-sale on this motherfucker.)
c) he's a freaking swingman ..Knicks have now cornered the market on swingmen.
D) oh wait, they just drafted another swingman at 29 ~NOW they've cornered the market!
e) Balkman has really un-NBA hair and swears (*this is true) that he will NEVER cut his hair again.
I would love to have seen Dolan's face when we took this dud..i mean..dude. I swear, I think Thomas did it to just piss him off.
Draft winners:
the Nets: the exact opposite of the Knicks. Weather they work or not, Thorn always makes what seems like a savy and logical move. Taking a free-falling Marcus Williams at 22 is fantastic and THEN getting his teammate Boone perfectly fill their frontcourt concerns as well as giving Williams a homie to support him after his post-greenroom trauma. Taking H Adams in the second is also fantastic.
Can't Stern just step in like Gandolf the wizard..wave a wand and say, "Hokus-pokus! Let pain abet. I now proclaim the Knicks the Nets!" Ahhhh, JZ suddenly owns the Knicks and he's taking them to Brooklyn. How cool does THAT sound?
Other winner: the Bulls. Amazingly the Knick pain is just gonna get worse for next years draft as Chicago picks up 5 more wins minimum. Getting T Thomas and some funky foreign dude mid-first is killer (*foreign dude's game looked real tight on highlights).
I'm very disappointed no NY fans attempted to jihad suicide bomb any Knick officials last night. The LEAST they could have done is chopped off the jabbering head of Steven A. Smith on ESPN..
Smell ya later.

We will have to save all of dlee's notes and see how things shake out in 3 years. I just know there is a spot in the NBA for a 7' tall dead-eye jump shooter with a cool ass name. He could be better than Danny Ferry was!

She was flattered but turned you down cold. Bitch.
'Suzanne' by Leonard Cohen is the greatest song of all time. The version by Nina Simone is the greatest cover of all time. Speaking in absolutes makes me feel like a big man.
As a primer, definitely start with 'The Best of Leonard Cohen,' which neatly encapsulates his early songs. 'I'm Your Man' is a great later record.
You pretty much can't go wrong with any of his stuff, but he's not better than Bob Dylan. Just check the stats.
P.S. 'The Best Of' was famously ripped off by Ween for their record, 'The Pod,' much to the confusion of Cohen fans:

She said yes then stood you up.
And agree with all the comments above re: Leonard Cohen. Definitely great, but not better than Dylan. Not close really.
