I don't understand the allure of "Shawshank" either but I admit I'm powerless over that movie. I've seen it a dozen times but if it comes on TV I know I'm not moving until the credits roll.

The tune I never get tired of is "Transdermal Celebration" by Ween. It's the "Shawshank Redemption" of songs. Check it out, with nifty animation:

permit in danger..

for the first time (*in change of policy) they didn't send out renewal reminders for the permit and i missed the deadline. I went to the office to appeal but they gave me the "let's see what happens" routine. i talked to a parks guy at Carmine and he suggested having other people besides me write letters and call regarding preserving the permit.

this could be a major suck waiting to happen.

anyone with juice ..please help.
