sesame place was my FAVORITE amusement park as a kid. but i remember you had to go on a weekday and get there right when it opened or else it got too crowded.

I grew up in Scranton, PA...about an hour above Philly on the NE Extension of the PA turnpike and went to college in Pittsburgh...you must go visit Pittsburgh. I also lived in LA, Washington DC, Atlanta and NYC and Pittsburgh is my favorite city of them all. It has something special to it, but mayhaps you need to live there to really appreciate it. So many hidden gems amongst the hills of the old steel town.

Philly also is a great town, but also full of idiots, far reaching poverty(See Northeast Philly) and violence. There isn't much to redeem it's extremes.

NYC I love and hate. I love it because everything you can imagine is at your fingertips and I hate it for the same reason. Also an immense amount of ignorance and hatred for such a multi-cultured quilt. Maybe moreso where I live than in the boroughs.

As somebody who went to Penn in the 80's, I look upon Philadelphia fondly. Believe it or not, the crime used to be much worse and the city has had a real resurgence in its older neighborhoods. It grows on you eventually - and it definitely has a great array of late nite junk food.
