no yanqui stadium requiem?

...though i agree the whole farewell is overblown b/c they are just moving across the street, and the old stadium really wasn't the old stadium... anyway, i do have some moments i'd like to revisit:

1) tino martinez getting drilled in the back vs. orioles (by then oriole armando benitez?) and subsequent bench clearing brawl.

2) monstrously fat, obnoxious, bearded woman (can't remember nickname we coined for her) who sat in front of us one game and proceeded to polish off a six pack or more of tall boys she had brought in with her (pre- bag checking era) in short order, before switching over to stadium beerz. as i recall, she had a plenty of colorful things to say about then 2nd baseman willie randolph and the rest of the team.

3) righetti's no hitter.

4) jeter's dive into the stands game

5) boone's alcs walk-off

...all good stuff

My favorite Yankee Stadium memory is seeing the drunk douche (a school teacher from Yonkers, it turned out) fall from the upper tier onto the net. When it was clear he wasn't dead, the entire crowd started chanting "Asshole! Asshole!"
