you know you're emboldening the terrorists with that kind of talk. |

i may be exposing myself to ridicule here, but i love the anthem and it always makes me emotional. it doesn't matter if it's billy joel butchering it or if it's piped in on a tuesday night in a meaningless game in topka. i always think of how tenuous everything was back during the days of the revolution, and how had a few things gone differently, we'd be speaking english right now. |

Amazing recording of Stevie Wonder live in 1973, recorded off of the soundboard: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rcdf2i |

I think that the signing of a song to a deaf person would be like reading a poem...most song lyrics are somewhat poetic, right? So it would be like reading a poem, which, in it's own way, is an internal aural experience. (All said as I push my glasses back up my nose). |
I do think that Marlee Matlin has been carrying the deaf-celebrity mantle for a long time and it would be great to some fresh faces in there. |
Also I have a question, if anyone can answer it. At one point when one of the Colts players scored a great play, a couple of the other players were running behind him and making a scraping motion with their hands, as if they were perhaps about to top him with parmesan cheese. Did anyone notice that? |
I enjoyed how Marlee Matlin's signs were so BIG, so the whole stadium could see them. |
I agree with everyone. Prince was awesome, except that his damn guitar mic went out on Purple Rain. Probably linked to the fact that he slammed his other mic to the ground and there was a hurricane at the time. |
i liked how everyone ran around in the rain and then fell down |

Prince won the Superbowl. |

What the hell does "He's talking to Davey, who's still in the Navy" mean? |
It means that Billy Joel was in need of a rhyme. |
