I believe I imparted to my successor the most important advice any budding MISer can get: "When in doubt, reboot." When that fails, page the dude who really knows what he's doing.

Hey, what's the title of the 'Mats song? Those of us with completist iTunes instincts wanna know.

"If Only You Were Lonely" is the name of the song...

I can confirm cW's words of wisdom. They served me well. Although I still don't know what to do when the screen turns piss yellow.

Edwards won the debate.

File under funny: Salon did some seriously lazy reporting and compiled a bunch of celebrities' memories of meeting Bob Dylan for the first time. Not surprisingly, Brian Bosworth's recollection was a standout:

BRIAN BOSWORTH, football player:
"My agent, Gary Wichard, and I were in the L.A. airport. We were waiting to use the phone and Gary says, 'Look, it's Bob Dylan.'

"'Who the hell is Bob Dylan?'

"That freaked Gary out. 'You don't know who Bob Dylan is?'

"Just then Dylan gets off the phone and says, 'Hey, Boz,' and introduces
himself. I'd never heard of him, but I guess he'd heard of me. After that I bought a few of his albums and now I listen to his music. I like it. Small world." (late 1980s)

(From "The Boz: Confessions of a Modern Anti-Hero," by Brian Bosworth and with Rick Reilly)

----

Which reminded me of another Brian Bosworth story (I've only got two). A friend of a friend was a huge, huge Bosworth fan, so much so that he somehow convinced his wife to name their firstborn after him. The kid's name? No, not Brian. He named his daughter Boz.
