I anxiously awaited the end of the first six weeks, because everyone said it would get easier. I spent the first 6 weeks feeling quite smug about my competence. It went quite dramatically downhill from there. Week 8 - 4.5 months were MUCH worse for me, and that was with a baby that slept through! That's my standard advice to new parents: Don't believe those bastards who say the first 6 weeks are the worst.

Man I'd love to be letting our kid cry himself out in the middle of the night, but he would wake up his bigger sister AND the wife wouldn't stand for it. She wants him quiet -- fast. Ah well, I think your plan is a good one.

I have a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old, and I'm still tired out of my mind half the time.
Just found your blog, will add you to my blog roll.

Christine: I think we're getting close to solid foods. We plan to wait until he reaches the six month mark (only three weeks away) and then no turning back.
Polanski: There may be teeth hiding in there somewhere. I guess they don't have to show teeth to be teething. Yea, it's an experience I can't wait for.
