Ya, I've been extremely conscious of that and I have stopped myself several times. Instead I use logic and if I can't come up with a good reason, then my request probably isn't very reasonable either, right?
this is actually a whole field of study.....it's actually healthy for children to a little disobedient.....otherwise they grow up to be lemmings.
yeah but it works. And if I use the logical reasoning method, she stops listening before I get to the "...and that's why..." bit.
Though certainly not experienced in this myself, I've been told that all children are different - some need to be given the freedom to explore, some respond better when given some direction... Kind of applies to the adult world too, no?
You got that right! Still, we have to be practical and use whatever tool we have at our disposal.
