Which is ironic considering that McDonald's coffee keeps winning taste test contests. My wife thinks it's better than most.
I don't drink coffee at all, unless I'm desperate on a cold rainy day and I have to stand for an hour at the kids' soccer practice.
Idaho Dad. It wasn't the comment on McDonald's coffee per say, but that Starbucks has become to coffee what McDonald's has become to food - for most, the last resort.
Absolutely agree they need to focus on their core...what they are supposed to do best... if you can't offer a consistently good cup of coffee at every store then who cares about egg sandwiches or cupcakes.
And McDs coffee does win taste tests, but only when made in the right circumstances... which unfortunately most of the McD restaurants forget which is why your coffee tastes like tar.
So whose coffee is best? Recommendations?
I recommend your local micro-roaster. In Vancouver BC, JJ Bean and Cafe Artigiano are two that I prefer.
