I noticed something on another thread that kind of goes along with this, they used something posted on a "progressive" site like it was gospel to dispute something else.
back to my original thought, I get the feeling it will get really bad as we approach election time. the democrat candidate will not get their hands dirty surrogates will do it for them.

I am a Limbaugh fan and even though I don't always agree with O'Reilly, I watch almost all of his shows. What MoveOn.org attempts to do by taking people out of context is disingenuous. Oh the heck with it... they're flat out liars!
When doing research for the radio show I came across Noel Sheppard's piece last night and it is comprehensive and excellent.
I too have posted on both Media Matters' attacks on Rush and O'Reilly, despicable!! I got a fire lit under me when a fellow conservative blogger was believing Media Matters' spin about O'Reilly. They are a leftist, propaganda, hit machine all the way.

Media Matters gets quoted as a 'news source' far too often and it is a propaganda machine, pure and simple.
As you know I no longer consider myself right or left. I definitely do not like the smear campaigns or the sensationalist tactics used by both sides. O'Reilly and Limbaugh are too far into aboslutes for my personal taste but this does not mean that I would use the smear attacks so prevalent in today's politics.
I see no way out of this. The Dems will win the presidentials and most likely the congress and we will go off on another chase into the wild blue yonder.

David - don't bet the farm on the democrats winning both they might keep congress but that isn't a given. they only have two planks on there ticket Bush and Iraq, it seems they are trying to manufacture some new point epically with the renewal of the SCHIP.
I'm starting to look at it this way: If they keep this up and keep getting slammed in public forums, sooner or later it is going to be a badge of HONOR to be criticized by Media Matters or MoveOn.org.
It's already a badge of honor to be banned from DU (I've been banned three times and say so proudly :D), and it could end up being an honor for those leftist outfits to even notice you.

While I have seen SOME "smear" campaigns coming from the right, very few of them had the absolute zero basis that the recent ones from Media Matters and MoveOn.org have cooked up.
An item to think about while you're thinking, "A pox on both their houses!"...
Hillary Clinton is behind BOTH Media Matters and MoveOn.org. They are both extensions of the Hillary campaign, and could very well end up in trouble concerning their 501C status.
This, by the way, is a warning to all of the Edwards and Obama supporters who think MM and MO.org are doing a "great" job... they'll be coming for your candidates next.

Anne can be really abrasive, but she's never claimed to be "sensitive" or even particularly tolerant. So they can't get her on hypocrisy. They'll have to go after her on substance, and for all of her abrasiveness, she's usually right about what she says (it's the way she says it that irks the left so much).
