Gravatar Don't let the dentist bully you Eric. I had a young upstart dentist tell me that this ahd to be doen and that and of course my Wisdom teeth ahd to come out. That was 15 years ago and I didn't let him do anything and I'm just fine.
Also, Hillary may be about to bounce back. Indiana is a samll state but we have a lot of delegates and we love her. We are hoping she'll pick our beloved Evan Bayh as her running mate. He is campaigning with her here.

Gravatar The after Coffee version: Don't let the Dentist bully you, Eric. I had a young upstart Dentist to tell me that this had to be done and that of course my Wisdom Teeth had to come out. That was 15 years ago and I didn't let him do anything and I'm just fine.

Gravatar Damn it! Campaigning! I hate my dyslexia!

Gravatar Don't give up on Hillary till it's over.

After all, Hillary's minister isn't a horrible bigot who spews hate from the pulpit. And if he were, she certainly didn't attend his sermons for 20 years listening and supporting that hateful drivel like Obama did. You know, Rev. Wright - the man Obama mentions in his speeches? The same Rev. Wright that Obama named his book "The Audacity of Hope" after one of Mr. Wright's sermons. Yeah, that one. Obama's actions sure speak the exact opposite of his speeches.

I think 20 years is pleanty of time to find a new reverend/church/religon. This could be a deadly blow to his camp.

I still can't believe he sat in the pews for 20 years listening to that man speak about anything. Nevermind his "God Damn America" Christmas Day sermon. And Obama exposed his children to this? He's now officially part of the problem.

Gravatar I think that's a very simpleminded view of the relationship between Wright and Obama. It's a attitude that lacks any sort of empathy with, and appreciation of, the complexity of human relations and human emotion.

Read or watch the speech Obama made this morning, in which he explains where the anger Wright expresses is coming from, explains what Wright has meant to him personally, and takes issue with Wright's views.

The world is a complicated place, Ryan.

Gravatar Well, not necessarily to defend Wright's words...but I must confess I find myself wondering exactly why we're riding Wright so hard when no one was scrutinizing Huckabee's on radically odd spew, or really delving into Mitt Romney's MOrmonism, or Hagee's anti-Catholic screed, or the cult of worship Rod Parsley cultivates.
But they're white.

Gravatar There seems to be a new guy touring southern campuses. I saw in the Sunday paper a man named Micah (I can't remember his last name) He was preaching that every woman who works outside the home, wears pants, wears short skirts and dresses, every person that cusses, every person that goes to any other church but his, every Homosexual and a whole list of others are going to Hell. I can see why he doesn't tour in the North because he would be tarred and feathered. The story said many in his audience appluad and cheer his words. Many students hold anti-hate rally's while he is in town. Just what we need another one.

Gravatar 1) I did read the speech. And I still don't care. Actions speak louder than words and as a gay, I walked away from hateful religon, so can Obama, esp. when "unity" is his buzz words. So the world being complicated doesn't "cut the mustard" so to speak. Wright is wrong. Obama sat and listened to his spew for 20 years. There's no excuse. None. I don't care what his fancy speech writers wrote.

2) First the slum lord, but we forgave Obama for that (he had an excuse), then Farrahkon, but we forgave Obama for that (he rejected his support), now this? Nope sorry, I don't buy into it.

3) So, in conclusion, I will say to Obama and the Media which supports him at the cost of any other candidate. No more. I'm done.

Obama's ACTIONS have spoken louder than any fancy speech his writers write. He supports hateful Wright, for whatever reason Wright is angry. I care not.

Hate is wrong. Wright preaches hate. Obama supports that hate by donating to his church, by attending his sermons, by naming his book after one of those sermons, by bringing his daughters to hear him preach.

End of discussion.

Gravatar Actions speak louder than words; so why do you give more weight to Wright's words than his actions?

Gravatar Actually, on second thought... I don't want to turn Eric's comments section into a debate forum. You and I just disagree on this, I guess.

Gravatar hey, feel free to debate or discuss. I'm fine with it. Or take it elsewhere but let us know so we can follow.

Gravatar My Republican brother sent me an e-mail titled the Democratic Natioanl Convention. It had Hillary and Obama and Pelosi and friends all dressed in tutus and such dancing like Elaine on Seinfeld. He said he sent it to me by mistake, right. I told him that the Republican candidate is too old to dance. Ed
