prisoner of love is so awesome. i had the good fortune to see jb at the old uptown theatre near temple u. circa 1965. musta seen him 3 dozen times in the next coupla years. utterly mesmerizing. for me, everything he did after 1969 or so was not that interesting, mainly cause the godfather could sing his behind off, not just dance and grunt which was alot of his show post 70s. no disrespect intended. prisoner was always one of my favorites and this is a great rendition. thanks so much for finding it. btw, i was at a jerry blavat tv show at channel 6 back around that time when james and his band was performing. jerry let him have about 40 minutes straight but even when they went to a commercial break, the band was still kickin and james was off to the side just so into it. truly an amazing performer. let's hope there is more video unearthed from this period.
