Now I am glad I left the comment on midlife bloggers wishing you fun -- which I did before I read this. Fun is a good plan.
OMG! Do I have to get my hair cut and colored? Oh me oh my!
I am burning with envy. I so wish we could meet. Maybe an East Coast blog-her....
I haven't written my pre-BlogHer post yet, but the only things I'm doing to prepare are printing cards and having my hair colored (which I would do anyway).
I think this year is going to be a lot of fun, even though the thought of 1,000 attendees is a bit overwhelming. I think pacing will be the key.

I though I was the only late 40's blogger out there.(I'm new at this.) There are more of my kind! Is there a social network I can join?

merlotmom: no, don't. that's the point of the post. Every year people (me) go nutsy trying to present the perfect blogger self--to the crowds and it just doesn't work. besides I stopped coloring my hair when i realized my bathroom was getting more of the dye than I was. And I'm not getting another haircut till I move back to LA!
msmeta: well, shoot, girl, some of my favorite people aren't coming this year. Of course, some of my other favorite people are!!! And write me an email on an account that works so that I can whisper in your ear.

Oh Jane, I sure wish I was going. But I am inspired by you to try not to think about it too much, and enjoy what I WILL be doing, which is partaking in a mini college reunion in Lake Arrowhead, where everyone there knows my name, some of them read my blog, and some of them don't yet know what a blog IS.
