Reminds me my quasi-date to see Adam Ant at some auditorium in SoCal in the late '60s. I was the only girl there who didn't bring flowers. Who knew? Lots of screaming, both onstage and off.
denise: I don't know if they still do it. I imagine they do because it is absolutely without will. An animalistic response, cf Michael Phelps chest-beating when he wins?
ms meta: interesting that today's teenyboppers seem to scream for the girl singers, not the boys so much. that's either good or "interesting."

Funny, I always wanted to be tall, thin, and ethnic growing up.
Heck, I even remember screaming at our elementary school talent show, when four kids were just PRETENDING to be the Beatles!
