Looks like he brought his buddy Senator Lindsay Graham.
Did he make Petraeus some ribs?
Was he guarded by Blackwater?

Senator Liarmann was along for the ride too. These aging hawks should be allowed to take a taxi by themselves back to the airport. I mean since everything is so hunky dory why not?

And here I thought Baghdad was supposed to be one of the big successes of the Surge, what with the walled neighborhoods and ethnic cleansing of Sunnis and bribes to warlords and suchlike.
But then, it could be that CNN got it wrong: Maybe it wasn't safe for the Iraqis to have this particular American in the area. Why, looking directly at the heroic magnificence of St. John and his Kevlar-sheathed cohort for too long might even cause permanent blindness!
Yeah, that's the ticket ...

I get the feeling that Lindsay Graham is not a possible VP candidate because of the way he wears his bangs.

If I recall, the Islamic messianic title of 'Mahdi' translates as 'The Rightly-Guided One.'
I am certain that the sudden appearance of the Republican Mahdi and the ones who are actually doing the rightly guiding would fill most Iraqis with dread. If it were my neighborhood I'd want the lot of them to stay away - they're instant IED magnets.
