Gravatar that puppy better not have a accident on that flag you libruls!

Gravatar Why not, Hubris? The cons have been using it as toilet paper for years now.

Gravatar Cordova displayed more compassion in that one night that is present in any given Republican preznitical debate this year.

He deserves to be an American - if he still wants to be.

Gravatar report from the border

Gravatar Puppies. Borderlands. Illegals crossing alone. Orphaned child. Hunters.

Quick, novelists, to your keyboards. It's got everything.

While waiting for the NY publishing houses to print this story: If I drive down to Agua Prieta, can I buy Sr Cordoba a drink?

Gravatar Just make sure that Romney doesn't put those dogs on the roof of his car.

Gravatar What! That is so un-American.
The model citizen should aspire to emulate Dear Leader!

When disaster strikes and people are in danger and dying, one should obstruct relief efforts and goof around for several crucial days, preferably while reading my pet goat. Then stage a photo op and fake press conference while still not helping people out.

One should loot the site of the disaster showing your entrepreneurial savvy.

Administering aid without charge? That's socialized medicine!

Finally you should announce that the accident was caused by an Iranian IED/EPF operated by a joint Al Queida/Qods Force team.

Jesus Manual Cordova, did none of these things proving the menace that illegals pose to this country!

Gravatar Enter, stage left, a border crosser, Jesus Manual Cordova, 26. He was wandering through the desert. He came upon the boy. Together they returned to the car, comforted the dying mother whom they could not free, built a fire for warmth, and in the morning when hunters came upon them, the young boy and the young border crosser were both alive, as were the boy's dogs --

It figures. From everything I've seen, a typical Mexican. Most of 'em are like that, and there's not a goddam thing you can do about. It's just the way they are.

Gravatar I am appalled at the callousness of some of you! I live right up against the border, in Tucson, and I can't say enough good about those who come here looking for a better life. They show up and work hard. They pay their bills. Mostly, their kids quickly learn English and do well in school.
From whence commeth all this antipathy to Mexicans? OUR ancestors were immigrants too. My grandparents homesteaded in Idaho; the other set (Mormon, two wives, one husband) escaped the federales in Utah for Wyoming. They too showed up and worked hard and paid their bills. Or went bust and with help from neighbors started again.
That's what this country is about! Out of England's debtors' prisons to America they came, for a new beginning.
If I were in charge, Cordova would be feted in a parade and given immediate citizenship (should he want it).

Gravatar The whole story just sucks. Cordova does the right thing, gets shipped out.

But that poor kid. Lost his dad, now his mom too. Had to watch her die. Hell of a way to lose your childhood. I'm glad he got the dogs back, but man.

Heartbreaking all around.

Gravatar so sad. but thank you for posting it.

Gravatar and I can't say enough good about those who come here looking for a better life. They show up and work hard. They pay their bills. Mostly, their kids quickly learn English and do well in school

There's just no getting away from it, that's exactly how they act up here in the Seattle-Tacoma area.
Next thing you know, they're buying houses and improving the neighborhoods! Not to mention opening up some great restaurants, like Antojos at 38th and McKinley in Tacoma. Love that place, always stop in and get at least a snack, when I'm in the area.

But it's not just that. From what I've seen, these Mexicans may be re-vitalising the local Catholic churches, too.

Are we going to stand for this?
