Mmmmmmmmmm.
Smells like impeachment.
Palin better bring a Kevlar umbrella to that hockey game - Philly fans are, shall we say, VERY "creative" in how they treat less-than-popular guests.

na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na, hey hey hey, goodbye...
I thought that was the Chicago White Sox tribute to their opponents, as played by Nancy Faust, their organist.

I have a kind of mental masochism which leads me to contemplate what happens to the world's economy if,come November, this woman is a senescent septuagenarian's heartbeat away from being Leader Of The Western World......

psg--Then you'd better hope that the Democratic vote fraudsters are smarter than the Republican vote fraudsters.

We need to kick this junkyard dog and her aging companion back to the pen.
If this is the best the GOP has to offer, then they are a party of NO values.

silverkris, the Sox used it first, but the Habs have used it famously as well. And tonight Palin is goin' to
a good old hockey game, is the best game you can name, and the best game you can name is a good old hockey game...

So Caribou Barbie's going to a hockey game in Philly??? Hmmmmm....
Back in late '05, I was playing NIN fangirl and doing 5 shows up the East Coast--DC, NYC, Philly, Boston & Montreal. (Got a godawful case of the Ninnie Death Flu, and had bruises for over a week from being in the pit, but it was still an absolute blast!) A little background for you: Trent uses video backdrops during the middle portion of the set, and since he got clean & sober he's gotten a LOT more political in his work, starting out with "The Hand That Feeds", a slam on the current regime and its followers, and continuing into the Year Zero album/ARG concept. That particular tour, the featured clips were of the war in Iraq, post-Katrina devastation (NOLA formerly being NIN HQ), and images of the self-anointed "ruling class", with the high/low point being a clip of W and Laura dancing at some state function.
It was interesting to see the reactions by city to that last bit: in DC, it was about 50/50 boos/cheers; NYC & Boston were about 75/25; and Montreal even more boos; but guess who booed the loudest and longest?
Yep...Philly. (But did you expect any less from the city that kicked Santa's ass at the football stadium one year?)
Now, where's my popcorn?

But - will there be consequences? Or will it be like her buddy McCain's Keating 5 where he was not punished for his crimes?
I shall not be satisfied till I see a punishment that is substantial and devastating to her political career.

Grew up an hour north of Philly and like many of a certain age, I will always remember that wonderful May day in 1974 (my brother was especially grateful, as a biology test was cancelled so the teacher could go to the parade). I heard the fans in Philly booed her--either it was an off night for them, or the report has been censored.
Evan, if McCain and Palin believed in the rule of law and in complying with legally issued subpoenas, they'd be Democrats and the question--and campaign--would be moot.

The AP article said the booing "quickly turned to polite applause" but it's hard to tell with this clip. The booing does sound pretty lusty at least at the beginning.
