I hope this isn't the only thing that she has. If this is just the warning that gets the big boys checkbooks out then it could be either a lot or nothing.
What I have learned about American politics is that after George W. Bush any skeleton in the closet can be hid away with the right media strategy. Watch out for the outing of destructive information by damaged messengers. The Repubs can just blame the messenger and clean their hands of it.

LM thsi will be good fun for us. but it wont change one of the 30%ers minds. have you read the book on authroitarian personality types...its modle seems to fit these guys very well. They will support rudy no matter what. he has the backing of the televangilists that these sheeple consider an authority. the authority figure is allwayus right, every one else is an evil demon possesed lier.

whether or not there is any negative result (crazification factor being what it is), it will be fun to watch. rudy does not respond to attacks well, he goes too quickly to bare fang viciousness. it might be a bloodletting worthy of an elizabethan act V (everybody dies)

LM, I *knew* you would be on this today, bless your little heart.
That said---unless the Feds have something on *Judith herself*, a million of my quatloos sez there's *no way* she doesn't settle. Even if it takes Rupert agreeing to leash-and-collar training at an "undisclosed location", there's no way he lets that kind of dirt reach a forum in which it becomes part of the public record.
If Judith was pissed enough that the bucks didn't matter to her, she'd have let the mouthpiece offer up some real goodies, instead of a few coy teasers....IMHO, this was just the first round of settlement negotiations.
But, man it sure is fun stuff to kick around the break room...

Can someone reassure me that shills like Chris Matthews will actually report this instead of continuously going on and on about how 'manly' Rudy is or how all his 'Democratic friends' like Rudy? Because at this point I'm afraid that only Olbermann will talk about something that easily would be the main news everywhere had Clinton been involved.

The grapevine in LA is that Judith "has tapes".
Maybe she does, maybe she doesn't.
But I wouldn't be surprised if she has, tough cookie that she is.

It depends on her motivation. Which, of course, is money, (re: OJ book) but is that all?
If she wants notoriety, fame (they can't tell the difference) and a ginormous kick in the jewels to those who Done Her Wrong, she could get both.
Is she greedy? Does she want both?

Somewhat OT: I’m not an Isiah fan, although I think he’s a pretty good coach, largely because he’s a master con man a la Riley, Pitino, and Larry Brown. But I think he’s gotten a bum rap on the b-word flap.
He did not say that it’s OK for anyone to call a black woman a bitch. In lengthy pre-trial testimony he said that it’s wrong for a white man or a black man to call a black woman a bitch, and worse if a white man does so. Rev. Al Sharpton and Rutgers coach Vivian Stringer both backed off their initial criticisms of Isiah after reviewing his full testimony.
It’s like the difference between whites and blacks using the n-word, a distinction which is generally accepted.

Just read your update. I really hope that whomever advised Murdoch that the Fox Business network will be a smashing success will be offering a helping hand in this case.
Oh, and I think you're being too harsh on Houston. It's not his fault that, to paraphrase a recent article on the Knicks, Scott Layden thought that giving a good player Jordan-like money would make him play like Jordan. On that note, I'm amazed that what's happened during the Isiah's time here has actually made Knicks fans forget just how bad of a GM Scott Layden was. James Dolan really knows how to pick these guys!

LoLo, one of my favorite wet dreams involved Ann Peebles and I engaging in various carnal acts, challenging the limits of human flexibility and endurance while her rendition of "I Can't Stop The Rain" oozed out of the stereo system in the background. (Forgive even this imaginary dalliance and betrayal on my part MISTRESS JEN - YOUR MOST HIGH HOLY SUCCULENCE AND REPOSITORY OF ALL THAT IS CREAMY SWEET AND FEMININE).
As for Judy Regan, the word is DEFINITE that she has TAPES! Remember, these two komodo dragons used to slither around and talk sleazy shop in her presence. They would "frequently discuss “sketchy” activities in her presence “as if I weren’t there.” A woman like Regan doesn't take very well to being treated like a fleshoid accoutrement in the crib (translation: skank ho') while "da boys" scheme up on shit. Ooohh Boy!! I smell "ass & entrails" on a bed of Boston Red Leaf lettuce and crumbled goat cheese, drizzled over with a citrus vinaigrette, and I see Judy cleaning the sticky-bits from her teeth with a platinum toothpick. Mmmm-Mmmm good - revenge is indeed a sweet dish best served chilled.

I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down by Ann Peebles
Now, how's that for some heartfelt sentiment? If someone tells you this, I suggest that you take them seriously.
LM, I was not familiar with this song and the Youtube link does not provide the best audio. Her voice and the beat were damn good so I went in search of the lyrics. I copied them below. I certainly see why you think the lyrics may fit what Judith Regan might be thinking especially with regard to the Ground Zero love nest she shared with Bernie and his other girlfriend.
I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down Lyrics:
You think you've got it all set up,
you think you've got the perfect plan
to charm everyone you see
and playing any game you can.
But I've got news for you,
I hope it don't hit you too hard.
One of these days while you're at play
I'm gonna catch you off guard.
CHORUS
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down pretty soon.
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down room by room.
You think love is just fun and games
Trying to be a playboy.
All you do is run around Using hearts as play toys.
You've been playing daddy with every mama in town.
What you gonna do when you look up one day
and see your playhouse tumbling down.
CHORUS X 3 to END
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down pretty soon.
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down room by room.
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down pretty soon.
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down room by room
Yeaah Yeaah~~~~
Pause on 3rd Chorus - Pretty soon.
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down room by room.

Well, if Fox is smart, they'll settle.
But this is a network that keeps letting Bill O'Reilly dictate their legal strategies.

This juicy little morsel made it above the fold on the Today Show this AM - after the fake bombs on the planes story and of course the latest Missing White Woman story, but still in the first 1/2 hour. It was a pretty long piece, and everyone agreed this was gonna take a big ol' whiz in Rudy's cornflakes...

Whew. I'm very glad I'm still dropping by this place every now 'n again. Judith could really make for some interesting campaign material, that's for sure.
But this:
Mitt Romney is probably the happiest man in America right now.
Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. But I'm just as eager to watch the Talibangelical wing of the GOP reconciling itself to a Mormon, flippity-floppity, politician from Taxachusetts in 2008. I have neighbors across the street from me who still (!) have their "W" stickers on their bumpers, and who (intentionally!) sent their kids to wingnut Bible colleges. I envision some entertaining conversations in the coming months if Mitt! is the nominee.

LM, you have the Rudy Ripnuts thing amped up now to 11. Hard to imagine what you will be doing with the Ghoul by primary time, or even by November 2008 if Regan does meet an untimely demise.
I think we can legitmately start thinking of life after Rudy right now.
If only the Steve were here to enjoy this.
