Another great article on Giuliani, LM! I honestly get the feeling now that all these scandals should be able to sink his campaign very soon - I'd say one to two months tops. What are your thoughts on that?

What I want to know is if NYC will decide to prosecute the Rudy. I mean, it's an easy several counts of grand theft and fraud, all of which could scotch his chances of becoming Duce.
I've been talking this up down here in Florida, because for some reason the Cocksucker News Newtork is saying that Florida voters love them some Rudy since he's a "standout" on terrorism.
I don't know about prosecution, but I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't at least a few lawsuits coming at very inconvenient times. Also, who knows how much more hasn't come out yet?
Kerik is facing multiple years in the pen, right now. Is he going to gamble on a Rudi win and a pardon, or is he going to say f- that and give up Rudi to get a shorter sentence? I would say the latter, and before you know it, Rudi isn't making campaign appearances, but court dates.
At the debate last night, Anderson Cooper asked Rudy about it and Rudy basically threw the cops under the bus and said that the cops were responsible for submitting the travel reports.
Look for some response from the cops assigned to Hamptons detail. Unless, if by "police" Rudy meant his pal Bernie, in which case we can expect Bernie to take one for the team.

Yep. Ever since I saw this lovely bit of news yesterday, I've been eagerly anticipating LM's take on it.
And he didn't disappoint. Not to take anything away from the other great commenters here, but when LM gets on one of his Rudeboy rants, I catch a strong echo of Steve's passionate voice.
Here's hoping Hubris (the ex-mayoral one, that is) has finally met his long-awaited and richly-deserved Nemesis. As well he should: There's an especially revolting quality of gleeful mean-spiritedness to his financial jiggery-pokery, in that the agencies he or his subordinates selected to bury the evidence of his clandestine tomcatting were charged with helping the disadvantaged. (And I'd bet these agencies are also chronically underfunded.)
Giuliani had to have known about this. I mean, c'mon: the guy's a former prosecuter. Don't you know he got more than his share of chuckles out of ripping off an agency that provides defense attorneys for the indigent?

Remember "Troopergate"? That was a central part of the vast right-wing conspiracy to get the Clintons. Richard Mellon Scaife funded the Arkansas Project to make shit up about Bill and Hillary. One of those stories to come out of the VRWC's efforts was that Bill used state troopers to help him when having affairs.
David Brock, back when he was a paid right-winger, wrote the Troopergate article. He later disavowed what he had written and apologized to the Clintons for the lies he printed. The troopers quoted in the article also came out and said that the article was full of lies.
So if you see or hear wingnuts defending Rudy and saying "Clinton did it too" you know that they are peddling some long-ago discredited bullshit.
But here's what should be done. Someone should start digging up all the quotes from the right-wingers when they were foaming at the mouth with righteous indignation at the thought that Bill was using troopers to help him cheat. And then those people should be made to choke on their quotes and they should be asked about Rudy's NYPD taxi service.
