That having been said - moonglum, do you really think that even a President Hillary would have appointed a moron like Michael Brown to run FEMA?
If there was one thing Bill was good at, it was making appointments. And there is certainly no reason at ths moment to assume that Hillary's levels of malfeasance would even vaguely approximate W's.
When we speak of W, we ARE talking about the worst president in American history, you know. And ANY Democratic successor, even Hillary, would want to uproot as many of W's little "movement conservative appointee" time bombs as she could find. For no other reason than to prevent them from sabotaging her.
OTOH, if by some malign miracle, McCain does actually manage to get elected, he's going to owe his soul to those he mortgaged it to. Namely, the neocons and the fundies.
