We use power strips here and try to remember to shut them all off. Everything except the refrigerator is shut off at the end of the day.
And we switched almost every light in the house to CFLs. We saw a drop in our power bill by 1/3!!!
I must admit I'm a bit bad about power usage. While most of the lights in the house are CFL or conventional fluorescents I still leave them on when not needed and don't power down the various electronics all the way.
On the plus side I'm fortunate enough to live where the electricity is provided mostly via hydro and I hardly drive (less than 50 miles per month).
